Who we are

Chimpipi (“we,” “us”) is a web studio based in Ventura, California that designs and builds websites for local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect through chimpipi.com and when you work with us, and how we handle it.

Information we collect

Information you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include (name, business, current site, and message). If you become a client, we collect the business details needed to do the work, such as your business name, contact information, and billing details.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited to serve and secure the site. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type, and referral source). Google may set cookies or use similar technologies for this purpose; see Google’s Privacy Policy.

What we don’t collect. This site has no accounts or comment sections. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us. The contact form uses automated checks (including a short-lived IP/email rate limit) to block spam; those checks are not used for marketing.

How we use information

We use the information above to respond to inquiries, provide and invoice our services, operate and secure this website, and meet legal obligations. That’s it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as Vercel (hosting), Resend (contact-form email delivery), Upstash (spam rate limiting), Google (analytics), and Stripe (payment processing for invoices), and only as needed for them to provide those services, or when required by law.

Data retention

We keep correspondence and client records for as long as needed to provide services and meet tax and legal requirements, then delete them.

Your rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to request its deletion. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@chimpipi.com.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
